Last Day of Mini-Vacation...

I hate the end of these lovely long "mini-vacations" - they just don't last long enough (of course, frankly, nothing would be long enough, unless of course, it was RETIREMENT!)...but that's a long way off. It'd better be, my retirement funds (including my 401(K)nit account) are nowhere near what they need to be!

I spent more time on Bernie today and I managed to complete this set for a very special friend and long-time customer...
I love having the opportunity to make "sets" - this is a Sadie/Oressa combo.

And then I focussed on knitting...here the third mystery Christmas gift for my third grandson...

And I've managed to make a bit of progress on Big Sis' sock that I started last night - in fact since this photo was taken, I'm even farther along - 4.5 inches (total) from the toe! Whoohoo! (She wears a size 9! I really do think someone switched me at birth, I'm just a size 5.5-6!)

Plus a bit more on Wool Peddler's Shawl. This is a gift as well...(not sure it'll get done for Christmas but that is my goal...

Someone else has spent her entire day very nearby. I have little mini-beds set up around the house. Hardwood floors are awfully cold in total electric houses, so we have "pads" near the heat ducts for the kitties to rest upon...here, however, I caught her on the livingroom rug!
All she does is work!

Well, tomorrow it's back to my "day job." But a regular paycheck isn't something to sneeze at these days...so I'm grateful.

edited to add:Did you notice anything about these photos? I seem to have a "thing" these days for the gold/ochre/rust/brown side of the color wheel! (THAT is very, very odd)
(((hugs)))

I recognize that fabric!

I guess your colors are blending with the last of the leaves - I like it.

Re-entry is hard. Lots of tea, friend. Lots.

What a beautiful bag set.

My maternal aunts and uncle were all over 6 feet tall but my mother was only 5 feet at best (standing really straight):) My grandmother said she must have forgotten to put manure in my mom's shoes ;)

Sallee let me say once again...I love, love, love the set you made for me. Everyone has been oohing and aahing over how lovely you coordinate your fabrics and how sturdy your pattern is. I am in love with the entire set! You are just the most amazing seamstress! Thanks again! :)
